Directions:
Watching plants grow sharpens your childs early science abilities. Children build up their observation skills and prediction skills. You can raise seedlings from seeds inside your house by using milk cartons. Then move it outside. If you have the room, plant giant sunflowers with small plants like cherry tomotoes. That allows the children to compare the different types of plants. You can also sharpen their math skills. Have the children use a ruler and measure the growth of the plant once a week. That can be graphed, also. There are endless math and science experiences. Enjoy this hands on learning!
